Damascus, SANA- Number of ambassadors, representatives of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions and businessmen stressed that the Syrian export exhibition “EXPO Syria 2024” is evidence of the strength of the Syrian product and a state of recovery and advancement witnessed by Syria.
During his participation in the opening of the exhibition, Iranian Ambassador to Syria, Hussein Akbari stated to the media that this type of exhibition reflects Syria’s ability to confront the challenges and difficulties it faces, despite what it is suffering today from an unjust economic siege imposed on it.
In turn, Mayor of Tehran, Alireza Zakani, said that the exhibition would contribute to strengthening trade and economic exchange relations between Syria and other countries, especially Iran, at various levels.
Bahraini Ambassador Waheed Mubarak Sayyar said that Syria is witnessing an industrial and commercial renaissance that indicates the beginning of the recovery of various industries and institutions.
Counselor at the Somali Embassy, Mohamed Abdi Ali, stated that Syria, which has suffered from war, has returned strongly to competition with its products.
For his part, head of Iraqi-Syrian Business Council, Hassan al-Sheikh Zini, said that Syrian exhibitions are witnessing remarkable progress in marketing their national products, which have begun to return to the Arab and international markets, noting the annual Iraqi participation in specialized Syrian exhibitions.
