Damascus, SANA-The date for the International Exhibition for the Reconstruction of Syria (Emaar) was announced today, from October 29 to November 1, during a press conference held at the Seven Gates Sheraton Hotel in Damascus, with the participation of the Ministers of Economy, Industry, Energy, Public Works, and Housing.
The press conference included a visual presentation on the reconstruction phase, investment opportunities in Syria, and the key needs across different sectors.
In his speech during the conference, Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar stated that Syria is working to build the state on modern foundations rooted in sovereignty, efficiency, and transparency. He noted that the past period witnessed the return of hundreds of industrial facilities to operation, affirming the recovery of the national economy.
For his part, Minister of Energy Eng. Mohammad al-Bashir stressed that despite 14 years of war and destruction, Syria is now shaping a bright future for its people. He pointed out that the deliberate targeting of infrastructure did not weaken the will of Syrians.
Meanwhile, Minister of Public Works and Housing Eng. Mustafa Abdulrazzaq indicated that efforts are ongoing to address the stalled projects halted by the war of the former regime, with a shift toward engaging the private sector and investing in urban development.
