Aleppo, SANA – The Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Aleppo held an art exhibition entitled “Non-Geometric Drawing,” organized by the University’s Youth Affairs Office and featuring remarkable artistic talents.
Students from the College of Engineering presented 110 artistic works, challenging the stereotypical image of engineering students. Their works varied between portraits and paintings that evoke the beauty of Aleppo’s old neighborhoods and its rich heritage, to works inspired by the world of animation, alongside still life paintings, and calligraphy that conveyed valuable and humane messages.
The exhibition was not limited to drawing, but extended to include fine handicrafts and photography, which gave the exhibition a comprehensive craft and aesthetic dimension.
Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Dr. Imad Al-Ruh, confirmed in a statement to a SANA reporter that this experiment is the first of its kind in the college, as it gave students a free space to express themselves and their creativity.
