Damascus, SANA – Culture Minister Mohammed Yassin Al-Saleh discussed with COVS organization of Italy cooperation in the field of cultural heritage protection.

Participants meeting addressed challenges and opportunities related to the preservation of Syrian cultural heritage, presented proposals for developing joint initiatives aimed at preserving Syria’s cultural heritage and activating the role of local communities in protecting it.

COSV is an Italian non-governmental organization interested in environment, human rights, intercultural dialogue, arts, and economic development.

The Italian ambassador to Damascus, Stefano Raffanian, representatives of government institutions, local community organizations, and stakeholders in the cultural heritage sector in Syria attended the meeting.
