Occupied Jerusalem, SANA-The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen Wednesday to 120, with dozens more injured, following intense Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas across the territory—marking a new escalation in the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe.

According to the Palestinian News Agency, Israeli warplanes launched heavy strikes on the neighborhoods of al-Tuffah, Sheikh Radwan, Al-Karama, and Yaffa Street in Gaza City, as well as on al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza and the al-Mawasi area in southern Khan Younis. The attacks resulted in a large number of casualties, including women and children.

Medical sources reported that since October 7, 2023, the overall toll from Israeli attacks on Gaza has climbed to more than 56,600 killed and 134,000 wounded, the majority of whom are civilians.

Meanwhile, the United Nations has warned of the worsening humanitarian conditions in the Strip, noting that residents face severe shortages of food and water, along with limited shelter options, as bombardment continues even in areas designated as safe zones.
