Islamabad, SANA- The National Disaster Management Authority/NDMA/in Pakistan announced that at least 104 people have been killed and 200 others injured due to the heavy rains that have hit the country since June 26.
Pakistan’s Sama TV quoted a spokesperson for the /NDMA/as saying: “Heavy monsoon rains and floods have caused several accidents and extensive material damage in various parts of Pakistan since June 26, indicating that 49 children, 37 men, 18 women died and 413 homes and nine bridges were damaged.
The NDMA, meanwhile, issued a fresh alert for heavy rains on Saturday. It warned of potential flood and flash flood risks in various regions of Punjab, KP and Balochistan provinces from July 12 to July 17 in its latest advisory.
