Jakarta, SANA-An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter scale struck on Monday Tanimbar Islands in Maluku Province, southern Indonesia.

The GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences reported that the earthquake was initially recorded at a depth of 10.0 kilometers, at latitude 6.35 degrees south and longitude 131.35 degrees east.

There have been no reports yet regarding the extent of the damage caused by the earthquake, and no tsunami warnings have been issued.
