UN: Deliberate killings of emergency workers may amount to war crimes
SANA NEWS -

New York, SANA- The UN Human Rights Office in the occupied Palestinian territory expressed deep shock and outrage over continued killing of emergency workers in the Gaza Strip.

The office said in a post on the X platform: “On 3 August, the Israeli military struck a Palestinian Red Crescent Society facility killing one and injuring at least 3 other staff.”

The office added that there must be an independent investigation into all killings of civilians. Deliberate killings of humanitarian workers may amount to war crimes.

To date, at least 49 PRCS and 136 Civil Defense members have been killed. These workers continue to engage in life-saving efforts, according to the United Nations.
