South Africa calls for intensified pressure on Israel to end Gaza genocide
SANA NEWS -

Pretoria, SANA-South African Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola called for intensified pressure on Israel to end its genocide in the Gaza Strip.

“We welcome recent moves by France, Canada, and other nations to recognize the State of Palestine, saying such steps could help build momentum to end the war in the devastated Palestinian territory.” Lamola told AFP.

He added, “When some countries say, ‘No, this cannot continue,’ it brings us closer to the moment when the Israeli regime puts an end to the genocide, allows humanitarian aid in, and agrees to go to the negotiating table for a ceasefire.”

Referring to the ‘famine’ in Gaza, Lamola said, “We warned in our case before the International Court of Justice that all of this would lead to famine and the complete cleansing of the population in Gaza.”
