Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee condemns Israel’s announcement of intention to control Gaza
SANA NEWS -

Amman, SANA- The Ministerial Committee mandated by the Joint Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit on Developments in the Gaza Strip, strongly condemned Israel’s announcement of its intention to impose control and occupy the Gaza Strip.

The committee said in a statement on Saturday, quoted by the Jordan News Agency Petra, that this announcement is a dangerous and unacceptable escalation, a violation of international law, and an attempt to perpetuate the illegal occupation.

It called for an immediate halt to the Israeli aggression on Gaza, urgent and unconditional permission for humanitarian aid to enter the Strip, and ensuring the freedom of action of relief agencies and international humanitarian organizations in accordance with international humanitarian law and applicable international humanitarian standards.

The statement also rejected any attempts to displace the Palestinian people and called on the international community, especially the permanent members of the Security Council, to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and take urgent action to halt Israel’s aggressive policies.
