San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama left Game 2 against the Portland Trail Blazers following a fall that has placed him into concussion protocol, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
Wembanyama, who was recently named a MVP-finalist along with Shai Gilgeuos-Alexander and Nikola Jokic, left the game with 8:57 remaining in the second quarter as the Blazers led 34-32.
Wembenyama was guarded by Blazers guard Jrue Holiday, who played solid defense on the 7-foot-4 alien, at the time of injury. Wembanyama made a series of moves against Holiday as he attempted to drive to the lane. He opted for a spin move when Holiday read the move and retreated, "pulling the chair" from Wembanyama causing him to lose his balance.
The Spurs center twisted and turned before falling to the hardwood and smacking his head on the ground. He appeared dazed and confused.
